From one teacher to another

Why I built this

I spent years trying to find a good system for managing my grades and feedback. Folders of graded assignments and tests. Spreadsheets full of complicated, fragile formulas for weighted averages. Post-it notes with observations about my students. At report-card time I would spend hours sifting through all of it to write a solid, personal, actionable comment for each student — and I noticed my colleagues all had the same problem. Ten to twenty hours per report-card session.

So I decided to do something about it, and I built Gradefully: one place where everything about a student's achievement lives — the grades and the feedback. Then I developed the AI systems that draft comments following the Ontario Ministry of Education's Growing Success criteria, while making sure no personally identifiable student information is ever sent to third-party AI providers.

Now I have more time to actually teach — and to prep the next high-impact lab for my science classroom. My hope is that you get that time back too.

Is my data secure?
